What is Hyperliquid?
Hyperliquid is a decentralized exchange and Layer 1 network built around on-chain trading, with markets for perpetual futures and spot tokens. Traders commonly use it to open long or short perps with USDC collateral, swap spot assets, and deposit into vaults that share strategy profits and losses. For tax reporting, Hyperliquid users may need a clear record of trades, transfers, funding payments, and vault activity; this guide shows how to handle those transactions with Coinpanda.
How to do your Hyperliquid taxes
You can easily report your Hyperliquid taxes by connecting your Hyperliquid wallet address to Coinpanda using the API or by uploading a CSV file. Coinpanda automatically imports your transactions, calculates your capital gains and income, and generates ready-to-file tax reports for Hyperliquid.

Coinpanda will automatically sync all transactions from a Hyperliquid public address you add. You will most likely find your public address after logging in to your Hyperliquid wallet. Next, copy and paste the address into Coinpanda, and all transactions will be imported automatically!
Not sure how to find the public address of your wallet? We have written instruction articles for the most popular cryptocurrency wallets used today on our integration pages.
Remember that you must add all your wallet addresses to Coinpanda for your tax calculations to be accurate. This also includes wallet addresses you are not actively using anymore.
Historical fills are supported from the 27th of July, 2025, and there is no limit on the latest 10,000 fills, as before. This means Coinpanda will import your entire closed PNL history from this date until today.
However, there are still other historical transactions that are not provided by the official Hyperliquid API or any third-party providers, which may result in a balance mismatch. In such cases, the only way to reconcile your transaction history completely is to add the missing transactions using Coinpanda’s generic file.

How are Hyperliquid transactions taxed?
The exact tax implications on Hyperliquid transactions depend on which country you live in and the type of transactions you have made. However, in most countries, you must generally pay capital gains tax on all Hyperliquid transactions except transfers between your own wallets.
To learn more about how Hyperliquid transactions are taxed in your country, we recommend reading our in-depth guides to cryptocurrency taxes.
How do I file my Hyperliquid taxes?
First, you must calculate capital gains from all taxable Hyperliquid transactions. When this information is ready, you have everything you need to report capital gains in your annual tax return. However, the actual procedure for reporting crypto tax in the tax return might vary from country to country.
To calculate your capital gains, you must first export a complete history of all transactions made on the Hyperliquid blockchain. Once you have this data, you can calculate your capital gains or losses by determining the price at which you bought the cryptocurrency (your cost basis) and the price at which you sold it (your proceeds). Luckily, Coinpanda can help you with this and generate ready-to-file tax forms quickly and easily.
After downloading your Hyperliquid tax statements from Coinpanda, the last step is to report the capital gains on your tax return before the deadline. Most countries allow you to self-declare taxes online in 2026, but you can also get help from a professional tax accountant to file taxes for you.
